Our Woodlands Explorers group welcomes children from the ages of 2 to 5 to take part in our fun outdoor sessions. They are aimed at developing skills and resilience, testing boundaries and deepening understanding of the natural world.
Session date and time
Tuesday 26th October – there is no morning session, we are running two storytime sessions in the afternoons on Tuesday 26th and Wednesday 27th.
We will meet outside the visitor centre 10 minutes before the start time get ready to leave. We ask you to aim to arrive as promptly as possible – to be considerate to other participants – and also to be able to find the garden! If you’ve been before and know where the secret garden is, feel free to meet us there.

Where to Meet
Meet at the visitor centre 10 minutes before the start of the session. The visitor centre is located at the bottom of Crystal palace Park near the Penge entrance, café and toilets.
For access to toilet facilities, please use the public toilets next to the visitor centre before or after the session.
All equipment will be provided.

Free parking is available at the Thicket Road, Anerley Hill and Crystal Palace Park Road entrances to the park.
What to wear and other information
The majority of the session will take place outside so please wear appropriate clothing. Please wear boots, trainers or wellies (no ballet pumps or sandals).
The session will involve some walking, not all paths are suitable for buggies but they can be left in a gated area.
